Nimonic sheets and plates are high-performance alloys primarily composed of nickel (60-80%) and chromium (15-23%), with additional elements such as cobalt (up to 20%), titanium (1.5-5%), and aluminum (0.5-2.5%) to enhance their strength and durability. They exhibit excellent mechanical properties, including a tensile strength of 800-1100 MPa and a yield strength of 450-700 MPa. The alloy maintains superior performance at elevated temperatures, with a melting point of approximately 1350°C. Nimonic sheets and plates also offer outstanding creep resistance and hardness, making them ideal for applications in extreme heat and high-stress environments.
