Nasir Nickel Alloys supplies Nitinol superelastic sheets and plates, a nickel-titanium alloy distinguished by its ability to undergo large deformations and instantly recover its original shape upon unloading, due to stress-induced martensitic transformation. These superelastic sheets offer excellent flexibility, durability, and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for biomedical, aerospace, and robotics applications. Manufactured to tight standards, they deliver reliable superelastic performance at or above room temperature, typically with Af (austenite finish) around 0 to 20°C.
Nitinol superelastic sheets and plates typically consist of about 55% nickel and 45% titanium, delivering tensile strengths ranging from 1000 to 1150 MPa, elongation greater than 10%, and a modulus of elasticity between 40-75 GPa. The superelastic grades have a loading plateau stress at 3% strain around 380 MPa, with permanent set (after 6% strain) below 0.3%. These properties enable reversible strains up to 8%, far exceeding conventional metals, and the alloy exhibits excellent fatigue resistance and biocompatibility, making it suitable for implants and precision actuators.
